About Us

The Maylands Partnership is led by Maylands businesses for Maylands businesses.  The Maylands Partnership is supported by partners across both the public and private sector.  Our aim is to transform Maylands into the UK's premier business location; a location where businesses prosper and high achieving employees want to work.  We represent the combined interest of nearly 500 businesses.

We will achieve this by delivering the Maylands Master Plan and securing accreditation as a Business Improvement District and delivering our priorities;

Delivering the Master Plan

  • Opening a new 30 hectare Gateway development and other aspects of the Maylands Master Plan
    • Located on the north side of Breakspear Way, providing a new high quality perspective of Maylands from the arterial route to the M1
    • State of the art office developments will be encouraged in this area

  • Encouraging the development of better facilities for employers and employees
    • Influencing the development of a new Heart for Maylands, offering improved leisure, retail, hotel and catering facilities
    • Assisting the development of business support centre with incubation units
    • Supporting inward investment and business retention
  • Reducing traffic congestion and improving public transport
    • Supporting the development of a frequent, reliable and rapid shuttle connecting Maylands, the town centre and the railway station
    • Proposing improvements to roadways, junctions and segregation of HGV traffic so that average journey times are reduced
    • Supporting development of a Park & Ride scheme centred on Maylands
  • Improving Maylands Appearance
    • Establishing distinctive character areas within Maylands to enable businesses to enjoy the benefits of clustering
    • Improving the ambience and physical appearance
    • Enhancing the brand, image and positive perceptions
    • Installing landmark public art at the principal entry point from the M1
  • Developing sustainable solutions Greening Maylands
    • Working with others to generate sustainable energy
    • Supporting business competitiveness through reducing energy waste
    • Developing solutions that enable people to live and work locally

    • Creating a vibrant, safer, 24-hour business community
    • Installation of CCTV connected to the police and better lighting
  • Connecting Businesses
